This book was written by volunteers & 100% of the proceeds go towards raising money for animals like Buffy with the goal to educate on resposible pet ownership and animal rescue in Australia.

Buffy's kittens were desexed and adopted 3 months later, but Buffy stayed in care over 8 months seeking a forever home, before she was adopted in 2024.

In Australia it’s estimated that 200,000 healthy adoptable animals are euthanised each year in pounds due to overcrowding. (Currently there is no legislated requirement for statistics on abandoned cats and dogs to be gathered nationally)

Buffy was 2 years old when she was found and her kittens 2 weeks old. They were found as strays without microchips and went to a pound in regional West Victoria in October 2023, they stayed at the pound for three weeks until Humane Animal Rescue brought her into foster care.
